WGTE Public Media

Professional Development

« previous page

Teaching professional development workshops became one of my primary duties at WGTE Public Media after the release of the Build Your Own Website™ online classroom application. Originally offered exclusively to K-12 school teachers, these workshops were later widened to include administrators, students, educational resource specialists, and other memebers of the educational community.

I have been told that the most difficult students to teach are teachers. If so, I was very fortunate to have been constantly surrounded by exceptions to the rule. I absolutely loved working with educators. And as I have often found to be true, the more I taught someone else, the more complete my own knowledge of the subject became. I am fully convinced that the success of WGTE's web services owe considerably to the extensive time spent interacting with enbd users in these training workshops.

"Returned surveys have indicated that the all day in-service was a rousing success! Your expert knowledge was instrumental in making the day so meaningful for all of your colleagues! Thank you for all of your efforts on behalf of Arbor Hills, McCord, and Timberstone Junior Highs."
